How it Works

In the rail industry, rail certification is an important process that ensures that rail infrastructure, equipment, and vehicles meet certain standards of safety and quality. As a registered ICP (Independent Competent Person) under the Australian standard AS7501, ProRail is authorized to provide certification services for railway infrastructure managers (RIM).

To obtain certification, a railway infrastructure maintenance vehicle must be inspected and tested by a certified and accredited body, such as ProRail. Our team of experienced technicians conduct inspections and tests in accordance with the relevant standards, including AS7501, to ensure that the infrastructure or vehicle is safe and reliable for use on the railway network.

In the case of road rail vehicles used for railway maintenance, certification also involves adherence to the AS7502 standard, which specifies requirements for the design, construction, and operation of these vehicles. Our road rail vehicle certification services incorporate AS7502 requirements to ensure that your rail maintenance vehicles are fully compliant with the standard.
